How do you package the food to maintain your significant shelf life of your products?  

We utilize a cutting edge USDA-approved technology allowing us to modify the atmosphere of each package of food to the point of having less than one percent oxygen left in its container. We add NO PRESERVATIVES.

Do you add preservatives to your food during preparation?

During the preparation and packaging of our food we add NO PRESERVATIVES.  All of our food is delivered to you fresh.

Do you sell fresh salads?

Yes. Our USDA technology allows us to get a significantly longer than average shelf life on all salads! Your salads will be delivered to your door, FRESH and have at least 14 days of freshness left.

Do I need to cook anything?

No cooking required! All you do is follow the suggested heating times on the label of each meal, warm it in the microwave, and you have a fresh, nutritious meal to enjoy! Some meals will require the combination of certain containers but that is the extent of the preparation you will do with the PurFoods program.

Do you do testing to determine that all of your meals are gluten free?

PurFoods Gluten Free meals are lab tested.  Test results show our meals and snacks rate well below the standard for gluten free, which is 20 parts per million or less.  Let us give you the piece of mind to know you are getting the very best.

How do I order?

SHIPPING/DELIVERY

When will my order be delivered?

Upon placing your order our Sales Associate will let you know when you should expect delivery of your fresh meals. After the initial delivery you will get your meals on the same day each week unless you request differently.

What if I am not home when FedEx tries to deliver?

If you would like them to leave the box on your doorstep, let your Sales Associate know and they will make arrangements. If you would like to have it delivered to a different address just let your Sales Associate know.

Do you use dry ice to ship my food and keep it refrigerated?

NO. We have a custom designed refrigerated delivery container that uses refrigerant gel packs. The gel packs are designed to fit our container and ensure the food will remain at a refrigerated temperature throughout the course of shipment. The number of gel packs within the container will vary throughout the year due to varying outside temperatures.

What should I do with the leftover container?

You can use your leftover container as a cooler during the summer months, at a barbecue or to take to the beach. If you decide to dispose of the refrigerated container please check within your community for any recycling programs they may have.

Can I re-use the ice packs that are delivered with my food?

The ice packs are reusable; just leave them in your freezer for future use. If you allow an ice pack to melt, lay it flat when refreezing.

How does PurFoods deliver to an apartment?

If access is available the driver should deliver your package to your door. If you live in an apartment and have an office that accepts deliveries, FedEx will leave your package with the delivery office. If neither of these options is available at the attempted delivery time the driver will call you at the number that is given on the shipping label. If all else fails they will leave a note and you can pick up your package at the station or they will try again the next delivery day.

Can PurFoods be delivered to an office building?

Yes. FedEx will deliver to an office as well as a residence.
